The Oklahoma Physical Therapy Foundation (OPTF) is a non-profit organization that provides funds for physical therapy education, research, and community services that positively impact Oklahomans.

In 2002, a group of physical therapists met to discuss how to support research, education and community programs to increase public awareness of physical therapy and promote the overall health and well-being of the community.  To create as many opportunities as possible, they decided to create a foundation that would raise funds for worthy groups across the state to develop meaningful programs in their own communities.

This group shared their philosophy with other physical therapists, and the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Foundation was born in 2003.  With the support of 100 founding members, the OPTF was established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors.

Through an endowment affiliated with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, your tax-deductible contributions to OPTF continue to grow.  An all-volunteer Board of Directors awards grants to community projects, sponsors educational programs to enhance the skills of Physical Therapy professionals, and funds research to enhance the quality of Physical Therapy services for Oklahomans.
